"Agriculture Training"- Evolution and Response of Agriculture Insurance to the Changing Global Phenomenon
The training was facilitated by Pag Dean Simuchimba who is the agriculture risk specialist at Klapton Re. He has a bachelors degree in Agronomy, Masters degree in Agriculture Risk Management and is a Fellow of the Agriculture Institute of Zambia. He has worked in insurance for 20 years with 10 years of that on agriculture research and managing agriculture insurance portfolios for various cedents.
"Surety Training"- Enhancing Surety Knowledge for Better Risk Management
This training was facilitated by Lottie Mulenga who is a bonds and guarantees expert underwriting in more than 70 counties across the globe, having worked as reinsurance manager with African grey and reinsurance officer with swan insurance he has a bachelor’s of engineering in Environmental Engineering and pursuing a reinsurance professional paper. This training was facilitated by Peter Cave who is a Reinsurance Expert with over 58 years’ experience in the industry. He spent a substantial part of his career working as a Director of a major international reinsurance broker for Lloyds.
"Engineering-CAR Project Insurance(Bridge/Road/Tunelling/Risk Management)"
This training was facilitated by Atmaram Cheruvu who is a Reinsurance Expert with 33 years overall experience including 32 years in non-life insurance, Reinsurance and Risk Management. He is an Associate of Insurance Institute of India, and his educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (B.E), Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), and Bachelor of Law (LLB).

It was an exciting two days with over 400 participants from the African continent, Europe and Asia attending the session on Appreciating Industrial All Risk & Machinery Breakdown Insurance – Mining & Sub-surface industries, conducted with the Organisation of Eastern and Southern Africa Insurers (OESAI).
